Billy Connolly is a Scottish comedian, musician, presenter and actor. He is sometimes known, especially in his native Scotland, by the nickname The Big Yin (The Big One).
His first trade, in the early 1960s, was as a welder (specifically a boilermaker) in the Glasgow shipyards, but he gave it up towards the end of the decade to pursue a career as a folk singer in the Humblebums and subsequently as a soloist. In the early 1970s he made the transition from folk-singer with a comedic persona to fully-fledged comedian, a role in which he continues.

Billy has released many recordings and videos of his concert performances over the years. He has expanded his repertoire to include acting, appearing in a number of television dramas and films, most recently in the USA. In the 90s he made two documentary series for the BBC, about Scotland and Australia respectively, and in 1997 he starred in the award winning film Mrs Brown (1997).

BILLY CONNOLLY AWARDED FREEDOM OF THE CITY OF GLASGOW – Billy Connolly received the Freedom of the City at a ceremony at Glasgow City Chambers on Friday, 20 August.
Michael began his stand-up career in 1999 and by all accounts wasn’t particularly funny. Over the years however things have picked up. He now hosts BBC1’s primetime Saturday night award winning Michael Mcintyre’s Comedy Roadshow, which will return in 2010 for a second series.
In 2009, Michael played live to half a million people in 54 arenas, including a record breaking six nights at Wembley and four at the London’s O2.

In 2009 McIntyre performed live to half a million people and won Best Stand-up at The British Comedy Awards.

In December 2009, Michael cancelled a stand up show 30 minutes before he was due on stage after discovering that he would be performing to a room full of debt collectors. Michael had revealed only weeks earlier how he’d struggled with substantial debt only a few years before breaking through in to the mainstream. McIntyre stated that he would have gone against his principles by performing the show.[8]
In 2010, McIntyre took part in Channel 4′s Comedy Gala, a benefit show held in aid of Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, filmed live at the O2 Arena in London on 30 March.

John Bishop is a comedian. He has also appeared in the E4 teen drama Skins as Mr Fitch, father of twins. He also has a regular Sunday slot on Liverpool radio station Radio City 96.7 called Bishop’s Sunday Service and has a regular slot on A League of Their Own with James Corden.

Peep show is the story of two happless middle-aged men living in a rather average flat with rather average lives. With no idea of direction or meaning in their lives the two Mark and Jeremy (Mitchell and Webb) try desperately to find love, and success in their lives. This comedy dvd boxset is one of the better UK sitcoms and is highly recommended by www.Comedy-dvds.info.
David Mitchell (Mark corrigan) and Robert Webb (Jeremy Osborne) are the focus of Peep show, with every camera angle and scene coming from the first person persepctive of Mark and Jez. Lessons are learnt, situations are cringe worthy and best of all the two actors have a genuine talent to see the funny and comedic side of everyday situations.
If you liked The Office – By Ricky Gervais and Steve Merchant, you will love this!!
